nAcsound for sonance

Designing a speaker is not a simple mathematical calculation. It has more to do with undertaking a project in which the end-result is defined in terms of both science and the physiology of listening, physics and psychoacoustics. Rather than using cold calculations, we use the harmony of sound as the basic for achieving our all-important goal: the listening experience. NACSound products are created to become an integral part of architecture: the emphasis is not only placed on the technical qualities but also on the object itself; not only on mathematical perfection but also on sound with an architectural dimension where space, colour and light have major roles to play. Sound becomes thus the best ally of architecture and interior design where harmony of sound blends naturally into the environment where it is set.

Experiments aimed at developing new solutions in the field of sound perception, through research on the form and emission of sound, are central to the concept of omni-directionality. Omnidirectional sound enables the speakers to emit sound waves equally in all directions. The sound disperses in constant spherical waves throughout all points in space. Back in the 1970s researchers showed that omni-directional sound emission - the so-called sphere-like emission - created a better psycho-acoustic perception than the traditional flat speaker. The geometry of the room influences the way sound is perceived, and an omni-directional emission helps by reducing resonance and overcoming the physical constraints of most spaces. NACSound's patented omni-directional technology is based on the principle of wave-guides. Its perfected geometric shapes radiate sound waves 360 degrees from two coaxial speakers placed to face each other. By varying the source position - suspension allows this- it is possible to adjust the system to any specific requirement.

Continuous experimentation aimed at identifying new solutions in the field of sound diffusion has led to the development of a new and extraordinary system: NACSound wireless. Its approach is based on autonomous radio waves, and it uses speakers that are free of audio cables and controls and that plug directly into the regular power supply. This makes them easy to install and extremely flexible to use. What's more, the system allows for speakers to be added in a modular way, since the absence of audio cables makes it possible to install them from ceilings or ceiling panels without any additional wiring. This further enhances the flexibility with which they can be integrated into their environment. The system is not only easy to use: It also offers the possibility of controlling each speaker separately, it transfers audio data in real time, and it allows for extending the diffusion of sound to adjacent areas - thus creating a potentially infinite series of listening rooms. In short, it represents a totally new approach for creating high quality music.
